There is no honest answer to that over the phone. Price comes down to square footage, how thick the asphalt needs to be, what shape the base is in, and how easy it is to get trucks and equipment to the spot. We come out, measure it, and give you a written price for free.

Normal vehicle traffic is usually fine after 24 to 48 hours once the surface has cooled and set. Asphalt keeps curing for several weeks after that, so for the first month go easy on sharp turns with the wheel stopped, jack stands, trailer jacks and kickstands, which can leave marks in a hot new surface.

Sometimes. If the base underneath is still solid and the surface is just tired, an overlay gives you a new driveway for a lot less than a tear-out. If the base has failed — you will usually see alligator cracking, potholes or spots that stay wet — paving over it just buys you a year. We will tell you which one you have.

We do both. Patching potholes, cutting out failed sections, fixing crumbling edges and repairing utility cuts are regular work for us. Small repairs done early are a lot cheaper than the replacement they turn into.

Most residential driveways are a one-day job. Parking lots depend on the size and whether the work needs to be phased to keep the business open — that gets covered in your quote so you know what to expect before we roll in.

Down here we can pave most of the year. Asphalt goes down best on warm, dry ground, so the thing that actually moves schedules is rain, not the calendar. If weather pushes your job, we will call you rather than leave you guessing.
